Grants for Youth-Led Climate Change Projects Available!
May 31, 2024
Mayor Andre Sayegh, the City of Paterson and NJCDC are collaborating with the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ new Youth Climate Action Fund. Together, we are empowering Paterson Youth, ages 15 to 24, to develop climate solutions here in our local community.
What the Youth Climate Action Fund Offers:
Technical Expertise: The Youth Climate Action Fund equips mayors worldwide with the resources to combat urgent climate challenges.
Financial Support: Funding opportunities are available to drive impactful initiatives that will be spearheaded by Paterson young people.
With an expected 70% of the global population to live in cities by 2050 and climate-driven natural disasters on the rise, more needs to be done faster to reduce emissions and ensure that city governments are equipped for population growth and the economic, social and environmental challenges resulting from a warming planet. Therefore, we will continue to make sure that Paterson is a global leader on a local level.” – Mayor Andre Sayegh
A Worldwide Campaign:
Paterson joins cities in this initiative from around the world, which spans 38 countries across six continents, representing over 62 million residents.
