The Paterson Youth Council Is Seeking Nominations for the Dr. Martin Luther King Youth Recognition Awards
Please Nominate the Best of Our Community’s Young People!
The Paterson Youth Council, organized by NJCDC, is a citywide youth-led and youth-driven civic organization that has worked very hard to represent the young people of Paterson since its inception nineteen years ago. In addition to its normal business, the Youth Council sponsors certain special events throughout the year, including a Youth Recognition Breakfast.
The Youth Council has decided that the holiday in honor of Dr. King is an appropriate time to recognize some of the city’s most committed and community-minded young people and the adults who help them.
On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Youth Council will be recognizing and honoring individuals from the City of Paterson who have made a difference in their community through commitment to the ideals and virtues espoused by Dr. King. We are giving awards in the following categories: Middle School, High School, an adult, an elected official, and one youth-serving organization. Download the Brunch Flyer.
Nominations are due no later than Friday, January 10, 2025
